He alle.
Dank ab jetzt an.
Ich will FlasKMPEG benutzten.
I'm not good at german so here it is in english:
Hey all.. Need some help guys..
I have a DVD in 2 CD's that I want to rip + encode. The first part of the movie on Disc 1 has a length of about 2 hours, and Disc 2 contains the last 1 hour. I want both CD's to have same quality, what do I do? How do I calculate the desired size of these 2 outputs? I want CD1 + CD2 to be 1400 MB.. Any ideas? I have run both discs through the first pass, only second pass left..
Thanks from now on..

Since you want to use flaskmpeg and you allready did a first pass for each part the easiest way would be to use a calculator to evaluate the datarate for the whole clip (approx. 3hrs), which should be something around 940kBit/s (=>1247783kB = 1219MB for the whole video stream) assuming you use a single mp3 Audiostream (165MB+16MB Overhead).
After encoding the two parts you join them and then split them into 3 parts using e.g. avi-mux gui.

Welcome to our board
sorry, my english is not so good, but I will try
Do you have still the original DVD?
Than encode the movie to one file (1400MB) and split the movie after encoding with VirtualDub => you will have 2 Cds with the same quality.

okay thanks.. but I can do the first pass again if there is another way to handle this? I just want to encode the movie as if it was a single dvd, so I would run encode it once, and then split it..
